Greetings and good health!

This bedeviled snow has caused its share of trouble this season, wouldn't ye agree? Renniewoods' backyard has amassed so much of the vile white nuisance that it has been all but impossible to take pictures of our latest staffs. But rest assured, fair readers, new products have been finished and pictures shall be forthcoming anon! Be that a promise or a threat, ye may ask? I shall let ye decide.

So far we've added two straight staffs to our collection, as well as a fascinating, gnarled root staff carved into the likeness of a dragon's hand, quartz talons and all. I am quite confident this will be a hot item, as Valos' delicate handiwork is quite impressive. --Wait a moment, did I just compliment him?! *ahem* Ye didn't see that...

Until we meet again (with pictures), fare thee well.

Greetings and good health!

We've a wondrous announcement to make to all our patrons. I had originally intended to wait, but I never WAS good at keeping secrets.

This spring and summer we shall be vendors for not one, but TWO renaissance faires. From late April through May we shall tirelessly lug our staves and other magical items to the Connecticut Renaissance Faire's Robin Hood Springtime Festival; then, from June to early July ye can find us at the fantastical Midsummer Fantasy Renaissance Faire.

Best of all, unlike last year where we could only set up shop for one weekend, we shall be at the faires for their entire durations. For more details, please see our calendar.

I shall do well to keep ONE small secret, however. But since I be a fair maiden, I shall give ye a hint: our booth will transport you to an exotic place! Save for our classic Renniewoods sign, ye may scarcely recognize our booth this year. We can hardly wait for ye to see it!!!

FAIRE thee well (ah ha, get it? *ahem* I know, I'm as ashamed as you are)

Greetings and good health,

We hope ye've been holding your own against all this villainous snow! I for one found myself stranded for the day, with naught but a stack of assigned reading to keep my mind occupied.

But on to far more important matters. Valos has stitched up a little bonus for all ye who wish to purchase a wizard wand: sheaths! Each sheath comes with a belt loop, so ye may meander through any faire with your wand safely stowed.

The photograph to the left is but a sample of what is to come, for we shall have several different colors and patterns to choose from. Soon enough ye shall be able to pick whichever one ye please, free with the purchase of a wizard wand!

And now for something completely different... I submit a photo for your enjoyment:

Is he a) casting a powerful spell, b) dodging enemy fireballs, or c) flailing helplessly as he falls into a 24-inch pile of snow while yours truly laughs hysterically?

Any guesses?

Phinius New Years
This scoundrel got a bit carried away.
Greetings and good health!

Prithee allow us to wish you a wondrous new year full of health, longevity, and prosperity. Since it be the time fer making new year's resolutions, the Renniewoods staff wishes to share theirs with ye fine ladies and gentlefolk: to offer ye more of what ye want, nothing but the finest renaissance staves, wands and other odds and ends! But there be just one small catch.

We seek your wise council to ponder up new ways to improve our business. Any comments, small or large, however detailed, will help us take our business in a direction that will better suit your needs. So pray share your thoughts with us by leaving a comment to this blog post.

We eagerly await your feedback.

Fare thee well,
Naomi

Greetings and good health!

I hope the holiday season found ye well. Phinius sure enjoyed himself, as ye can well enough see. Of course, not everything lasts forever; now that we've recovered from our holiday food comas, it be time to set our sights on the future.

As we look forward to welcoming in a new year, so too do we set our sights on new Renniewoods developments for next year.  Valos has a handful of staffs in various stages of production; we've a new line of wands which we believe our more feminine fans will take a liking to; and much more. More information to come!

We hope your celebrations be merry, and that ye will continue to follow us into the new year. Thank ye all for your kind support in our first year of operation. Many merry days to ye and yours!

Fare thee well,
Naomi

Phinius, our little robed mascot
During the Connecticut Renaissance Faire we held a contest to name our new fuzzy mascot to the left. After a great deal of deliberation, and a far greater deal of procrastination, our decision is made.

Little robed ferret fuzzy, from henceforth you shall be known as....*drumroll* PHINIUS! Many thanks to the fine lad who submitted the name, and of course many more thanks to the other folks who made suggestions. They were all lovely, to be sure!

And now for some (more) shameless self-promotion: As Valos has already mentioned, the long-awaited holiday season is nigh upon us, friends. This year, why not gift your loved ones with a touch of magic? We're in the process of making the ordering process much simpler through Google Checkout, and new products are on their way. For a custom order, however, contacting us directly is still the best way to ensure you get exactly what you want.

Fare thee well, and may your holidays be merry!

Naomi

Well Met,

We here at Renniewoods have made some minor changes to some of our pages, with more changes to come.  As an accepted Google Checkout Merchant, some new methods for sales have become useful, as can be seen immediately on the Ritual Wands page, and other pages will soon be updated to reflect this new method of sales as well.  Also, check back soon for new items, as well as a possible new means of commissioning Wizard Wands.

-Valos

Well Met, Faithful Followers,

We here at Renniewoods are looking forward to the Holiday season as much as the rest of you.  Now is the time to place your orders for Christmas and Yule Gifts.  There is not much else to say for now, but do check back for possible new additions to our wand stocks.

-Valos

Good day and Good Cheer,

We here at Renniewoods are winding down for the cold winter months ahead.  However, that does not mean that we will not be busy creating new pieces for the coming season.  We are looking to be joining several faires next summer, and so wish to have a healthy stock for the season.  New staffs are in the works, as well as a new batch of wands of both types.

I thought I might mention some of the faires we may be joining next summer.  The first would be the Robin Hood festival in the spring, held in Connecticut.  The next might be the Faerie Festival held in mid June in Binghamton, NY.  Shortly after that comes the Midsummer Fantasy Faire being held in Ansonia, CT.  And we plan to finish our season at the Connecticut Renaissance Faire next fall.  This is just tentative for right now, biding acceptance to these faires, but we will be sure to let everyone know where we will be and for how long.

Also, check back soon for new additions to inventory for the winter.  Photos will hopefully be taken shortly, so new pictures of items will be appearing soon!

Greetings and good health!

Many warm thanks to all those who bid us welcome during our renaissance faire vending debut at the Connecticut Renaissance Faire this past weekend!! It was a pleasure meeting patrons and fellow merchants alike, and especially lovely to keep shop next to the lovely and talented people at Hennadancer.

However, since it seems there were some who were slightly disappointed we were only appearing for one weekend, we'd like to offer a token of appreciation: for those of ye who wished to purchase something at a later date, we shall be offering faire prices online until the end of the faire, October 24. That's right, ye heard me! Faire prices online until October 24!!*

You're welcome!
