Good evening friends and followers!

As many of you know, we here at Renniewoods will be attending the Connecticut Renaissance Faire this coming weekend.  Recently, we have been blessed with a new friend in our small family.  However, our friend doesn't yet have a name.  During this weekend, we will be looking for some help naming our new friend.  We will be holding a contest for our friends and visitors, though we are not yet sure what the prize will be.  I expect we will have the answer to this question by the time we have visitors on Saturday morning!

Also, remember to mention the website to us at the booth, and receive your special prize at the Faire!

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend, and we hope to see you over the weekend!
-Valos

Good Day,

I am afraid I must apologize for what I am about to do.  As many of you may have recently seen, Renniewoods will be making their first appearance as a vendor during the first weekend of the Connecticut Renaissance Faire.  However, as this is our first faire, and we are unsure as to how much we are going to sell, we will be bringing a large portion of our current stock with us.

This is where the apology comes in.  Since we will be bringing so much with us to sell, I am afraid I will not be able to take orders off the website until next week sometime, after I have been able to remove any items that may have been sold during the faire.  Please, check back next week to see what may have been added or removed.

Be on the lookout for our new sign!
Well met, ye fine ladies and gentlefolk!

The Connecticut Renaissance Faire's opening weekend is but a week hence, and verily it could come none too soon for our liking!

Of course we've many a task to complete before we can rest assured we be ready to make our debut as vendors, but the excitement of it all is simply thrilling. If ye will recall, we've a whole new line of cheaper staves and wands to offer, as well as a few other surprises ye must come visit us to see.

We look forward to seeing all our dear old friends and to making many more - so I've just one more question for ye all: BE YE READY?!

Ecstatically yours,
Naomi

Hear ye, hear ye!

We here at Renniewoods have been accepted for the opening weekend at the Connecticut Renaissance Faire!  We are very happy to take our show on the road, even if it is only a short distance away.  We will be there the weekend of September 25th and 26th.  And for those who follow along with our posts, mention the website for an extra surprise while at faire.

I have been working very hard to bring about some new products for the faire, and shall bring a large selection with us for some extra fun.  As this be our first opportunity to vend at a faire, we are still putting the pieces together, but we shall do our best.  We hope you will all be able to stop by to at least say hello, and peruse our products.

Mayhap best of all, we've a new line of child-friendly products making their debut at the faire, so be sure to bring your little ones with ye. For any young'uns pining for a "Harry Potter" wand of their own, the search shall end at our booth!

I shall be seeing ye all anon,
Valos

Greetings and good health!

We've many tidbits of news for ye fine folk this week! Aye, never be there a dull moment at Renniewoods, rest assured of that.

Firstly, something of a teaser: though I be not at liberty to divulge details, yet a faire appearance may be in the works!

To prepare for a potential faire appearance, Valos has added a more economic line of staves. He has declined to display them on the website at present, as he prefers them to be a faire inventory item only, for the time being anyways. But in faith, they are quite nice!

Ah, but I know what ye really wish to see... more canes! And more canes ye'll get.
Vigilante Cane
Valos is struck by his own work
Six more lovelies be making an appearance on our website anon, including this ebony ironwood walking stick featured on the left. Lovingly named Vigilante, this cane gives a strong sense of aggressive justice - quite perfect for those mercenary types.

For more details on Vigilante and the five other new canes, return anon to the cane page! In faith I may be unable to post them in the next day or two, but it will be soon, ye have my word!

Fare thee well,
Naomi

Greetings and good health, lords and ladies!

I hope ye are faring well during these blistering hot midsummer days. Mayhap ye had been thinking we at Renniewoods had been lazing the summer days away on the beach with our lack of updates, but it isn't so! In fact, we've made many new and exciting additions to our stock.
Picture
Verily, we have commenced a line of canes and walking sticks for ye fine folk! Though we've only two at present, more are being fiddled with and shall be available anon. If ye turn your attention to our accessories page, we have just begun offering hand carved rune sets and wooden buttons. These little beauties are also being expanded upon and will be available in more varieties soon enough!

Ye will also notice our finished wands are ready to view and purchase. We have taken down unfinished wands, but we shall still gladly take commissions. It shall be easier to discuss preferences at the time of ordering than to browse our endless collection of sticks.

Pritee return  soon for more updates!

Fare thee well,
Naomi

Greetings and good health!

I dearly hope this past Independence Day has found ye well. In faith, 'tis a favorite holiday of mine - merriment, carousing with friends with ale mug in hand, and best of all...colorful explosions in the sky!

Valos made a friend!
Now that we've recovered from such a rousing festival, Valos and I are scheming to make our way to Southern Connecticut's Midsummer Magick Faire!

We know not which weekend we shall attend at present, so prithee check back for an official announcement!

Fare thee well,
Naomi

Greetings and good health!

If I may, allow me to introduce our latest staff with a brief tale. Once upon a full moon, in a land not so very far away, Valos Kes'Ternan felt unusually pensive. Whilst staining this staff white he pondered such enigmatic topics as life and death, good and evil, light and dark, and -oh, you get the point.
Picture
As our intrepid craftsman again gazed up at the sky, he noticed that even the calm purity of the moon had dark craters marring the surface, and darkness lurked at the edge of her brilliant rays' reach. Alas! He realized with a start that even things which are seemingly pure - as indeed this staff had seemed to him - always have a touch of darkness.

Valos decided to tint the tips of the glowing white staff black, as a symbol of life's complicity.

Goodness me, do you believe all that?

Picture
Deep thoughts aside, the blackened tips balance out the almost blinding whiteness. What's more, the roots grew in a way that tricks the eye into seeing something different each way ye turn it.

The wood's energy is beautifully balanced, and ye may begin to feel grounded and centered just by taking it into your hands. This piece is for sale and will appear anon on our finished work page!

Fare thee well,
Naomi

Greetings and good health!

I am delighted to announce the debut of Renniewoods' lineup of wands; Valos turned his room into a forest of lovelies hanging by his ceiling to make it possible.
Picture
There are several pieces of each color he had, stained and coated with poly, and ready to either be snatched up by ye good folks or further customized with crystals and other adornments.

To give ye an example of what else can be done to customize a wand, prithee turn your attention below to the wand I made for meself (under careful watch and frequent aid of Valos, of course).

Picture
Valos carved a double helix spiraling down its entire length save for below the handle, and the wand is enhanced at the end with an energetic piece of Rutilated Quartz. If I may be so bold, I must say I am quite smitten with it!

Stay tuned for more completed works, as we've been working without rest to bolster our stock.

Fare thee well,
Naomi

Greetings and good health!

By an unexpected stroke of luck, Valos and I attended the Southern Connecticut Renaissance Faire yesterday. 'Twas our first of the season, and what a merry occasion it was - save for the dappled showers and sunburn, of course.

A warm thanks to all who stopped to have a word with us throughout our meanderings, your kind words about Valos' work were humbling.

Valos and I would also like to express special thanks to the lovely ladies at The Catskill Soap Company for their sage council and warm company! Prithee take a peek at their website, kind folks; their soaps and incense smell so heavenly, Valos had to forcibly drag me away from their tent before I tried bartering my left kidney for half their inventory - I kid ye not!

We shall attend more faires anon, though at present we've no definite plans. Stay tuned, for I shall announce our plans as they become definite!

Fare thee well,
Naomi
