To All,

We have been to the First two weekends of the Robin Hood Springtime Festival, being put on by The Connecticut Renaissance Faire.  The first two weekends have been exceptional for us.  The weather has been extraordinary, and out new appearance has turned many heads, by both patrons and friends of ours at faire as well.  We hope the last two weekends will be just as good, if not better.

After this faire, we will be seen a couple weeks later at the Midsummer Fantasy Renaissance Faire, where we will be concluding this season of faires.  this may be the last time you will get to see myself and Naomi here in Connecticut, so we hope that many of our friends will take advantage of this and come see us.

Good Day,
Valos

Good Days to All,

Spring is finally upon us, and as work shifts into overdrive, many things will be changing around the Renniewoods booth this season.  One of the main things that is changing is my appearance.  To better fit my image as a magecrafter, i am changing to a slightly more woodsy appearance.

Also, I have a great many wands being added to the mix, in some interesting new colors and wood types.  I will also be working on a few in a new style that we hope will be appreciated.  More details will come, along with pictures, when the first of these pieces have been finished.

We hope your winter was as easy as ours was in the northeast, and that your spring is going well also,

Valos

Fair Weather to All,

Seems we have missed the fun of the new year.  We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season.  Renniewoods is back doing more work, and have recently acquired some interesting items that will be redone in a much more interesting style.  They will soon be making their way to Etsy, as we hope to get the current issues with the Etsy store ironed out.

May the Winds blow in your Favor,

Valos and Naomi

Good Day to All!

It appears that power has finally been restored to our neck of the woods.  We were inundated by a rather nasty storm, and have been away from home for a few days trying our best to keep warm.  But we are back now, and some new items will soon be underway.

Some trees in our area were damaged by the storm, some of which can make for some interesting new pieces.  Some apple trees were completely taken out, and a couple large pieces of black walnut were damaged near my residence, thus a few pieces will be taken from them, with some other possibilities as well, if they work out.  Also, a block of ebony was recently acquired, so some new wizard wands will soon be available, I hope.  The wood, while very dense, is also rather fragile, and will require some delicate work.

We hope everyone else is coming through the storm nicely, and look forward to seeing you again int he spring!

Warmest wishes,

Valos and Naomi

P.S. - a foot of snow last week, today it reached 71 degrees!

Good Evening to All!

Valos and Phinius at the Midsummer Fantasy Renaissance Faire.
Naomi, Phinius and Myself have recently visited the Connecticut Renaissance Faire.  And boy did we have fun.  We were able to see many friends that we haven't seen since the summer, and make some new friends while we were there.

Picture
While we were at the faire, Phinius decided he wanted to have some pictures taken, and we couldn't help but indulge him a little.  Here he is seen hanging out on the Potted Fox sign.  We were amazed he was able to scramble up there, but then, he is a magical ferret.  Take a look at the amazing leather work from the proprietress, Kat.

Picture
Here Phinius has jumped into the arms of a pirate skeleton, one of the nice people at the wonderful shop On Glass Wings.  The people at this shop are amazing artists, and can take just about any image and create a stained glass piece from it.  Stop in and take a look at what they have there to offer, or just to say hello to the nice people behind the counter!

Picture
While we enjoy many things at faire, saying hello to good friends is one of our favorite activities.  Phinius enjoys the Henna Dancer booth as much as we do, because he knows that tasty goodness will be coming whenever we stop in here.  You can either get some very nice Henna (temporary herbal tattoos) from the wonderful Lauren, or look over the amazing selection of herbs they have available from Auntie Arwen.  Also to be found near the Henna Dancer booth at times, or often roaming around the faire, is Suleiman's Turkish  Delights, with both turkish coffee and baklava, two amazing and addictive substances. (He's an evil evil man, just so you know... but you will be back after just one taste. And by evil, I mean extremely nice.)

While at the Faire, please stop by some of our other friends.  Some wonderful shops at the faire include Foresight, your home of a pair of amazing psychics, who know all, see all, and tell much!  Also be sure to stop in at the Lusty Leather shop for some great leather products.  Take a peek at Aetas Designs or Chrononaut Mercantile for a look at some wonderful period clothing!  We also really like the people over at Won Lo's Shady Emporium, whose amazing devices keep your head out of the sun and rain!  When looking for some celtic style cloaks, or that accessory for your steampunk outfit, check out Xeph Ink with their celtic curiosities.  If you are interested in blades, swords, knives, daggers, axes, and other interesting weapons, then head over to The Dragon's Breath Forge, who will have just the right type of weapon for you.  We are very big fans of these guys, because of their amazing work, and because we happen to be from the same town!!  Also be sure to stop by Sir Munch-A-Lots for all your extremely tasty, and calorie-loaded, food items, such as chocolate covered bacon and deep-fried snickers.  Or perhaps have some Dragon Ice Cream, tasty goodness for those warm days.

Please try to stop in and see our friends, and when you do, tell them we said Hello.  It probably won't get you anything, but one never knows, our friends like it when we spread word on each other!

With Many Blessings,

Valos and Naomi

Good day to all!

We have decided to open an store on Etsy.com.  It has just been started, and products to be placed on the site are still being arranged.  Due to the rules and regulations of Etsy, I can't show items on there that I also have on my website, but that will be ok.  Just expect different types of items to show up on there.  This will include some new wands I have been working on, some of the other staffs I have finished, and some interesting Steampunk items that I have begun working on.  Please take a look over there soon, as I hope to have items starting on the site within a couple weeks!

May the days Bless you well!
Valos Kes'Ternan

P.S. - HAPPY MABON!!!

Greetings and good health,

Valos and I tore up the New York Renaissance Faire this past Saturday, making our first trip as patrons since we started vending last fall. Verily, though we love vending, it was great fun having the patron experience once again. That's not to say it was all play and no business, Heavens no!

In faith, we had a staff delivery to make. Before exploring the grounds at length, we made a beeline for The Potted Fox's booth to drop off the gorgeous fox shaman staff to Potted Fox's owner and mastermind, Kat. It was a pleasure to give form to her vision for this entirely customized piece, and a welcomed challenge for Valos.

Though her website is being renovated at the moment, we shall provide ye fine folks with a link anon. Kat hand makes leather goods such as pouches, corsets, bodices, and hats, to name a few. So pray stop by and peruse her booth if ye have plans to attend NYRF anon.

I had my own foxy fun at faire as well - I joined forces with Kat as the newest recruit to the Fox Clan within the Barbarian Guild! We are currently recruiting any other fox-like faire-goers, so prithee join us!

We look forward to seeing ye all anon at CTRF this fall (as patrons once again). Until then,

Fare thee well!
Naomi

Greetings and good health!

Though ye may expect Valos and I would be bustling about in preparation for the King Arthur Faire this September, instead we bring potentially disappointing news - we shall not be vending at any faires for the rest of the year. Ye may still purchase our wares from our website, and we shall still be taking custom orders online as well.

In faith, both of us have too many other pressing obligations we must attend to - I have a grueling bout of schooling which shall demand my utmost attention anon, and Valos shall be preparing applications for schools so that next year he may suffer as I have been suffering.. MWA HA HA HA *ahem* So pray wish us the best of luck, as we shall both be needing it in large quantities!

We shall, however, make appearances as patrons at the fall faires, and shall be returning as vendors to both the Robin Hood Festival and the Midsummer Fantasy Faire.

Fare thee well,
Naomi

P.S. - Look for us on the opening day of the Maryland Renaissance Festival.

Greetings All!

Only one week left to the Midsummer Fantasy Renaissance Faire.  We hope to see a great many of you there this weekend.  We have been having a great time there, but still have a few wands and staffs left, as well as a great many new "shorter" staffs and other interesting pieces for sale.

Good Days and Good Nights,
Valos and Naomi
